15 Days since the Development of OW2
Otherworld - MMORPG » Devlog
Hey guys!
Time really flies by - OW2 is shaping up really well - We've got so much in store for the second game, the main reason why we haven't released it yet is due to a couple of concerns and reasons.
- I realized during the development of the first game, players had no reason to stay in a town besides aesthetic reasons. the first game had a map but the regions didn't produce content. specific quests or dungeons for these cities would've increased playtime as well as the significance of cities throughout the world, fleshing it out more with content would've helped a lot
- I decided to add more measures to meet before release, specifically - more steps and procedures I should have done beforehand, sometimes it feels like a game is done. but in reality it isn't and instead it's starting to align with your vision of what the game should be, I'm trying out Closed Testing - which could make the quality soar higher than without it.
- I felt as if there isn't enough content, we've definitely got the core stuff in but to keep you guys around especially in a MMORPG, you have to be careful with content
Overall, i'm just trying to play it safe this time - I did way too much risks beforehand and I should ensure I do the right procedures to get you all a great game.
